The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the University of Utah Utes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on February 20th. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Utes.

The Utes dominated the game with 38 shots against the Bobcats’ 31. However, the Bobcats’ powerplay was more active with 2 attempts, compared to the Utes’ zero. Unfortunately, the Bobcats were unable to convert these opportunities into goals.

In the goalie duel, Miranda De Antunano of the Utes faced 31 shots and made 29 saves, while Reese McConnell of the Bobcats faced a barrage of 38 shots, making 33 saves.

Utes’ forward, #12 Morgan Lavalley, stood out with 2 goals, while #18 Elly Aldrich scored the lone goal for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats will be looking to bounce back in their next game at home against Grand Canyon University on February 21, once again at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team will undoubtedly be working hard to improve their powerplay efficiency and overall game in preparation for this upcoming match.
