The Montana State University Bobcats dominated the ice last night with a 4-1 win over the University of Wyoming Pokes. The game, held at Haynes Pavilion, saw the Bobcats outperform the Pokes despite fewer shots on goal.
The Pokes, with a total of 55 shots, were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. The Bobcats, on the other hand, made the most of their 35 shots. The Pokes’ powerplay was 0/3, while the Bobcats also failed to convert their powerplay opportunities, going 0/4.
The Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced 35 shots and made 31 saves. On the Bobcats’ side, Reese McConnell was the star of the night, facing a whopping 55 shots and making an impressive 54 saves.
In terms of individual performances, Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts each scored a goal. However, it was the Bobcats who had the upper hand this time, finishing the game with a 4-1 victory.
