In a stellar display of skill and strategy, the Montana State University Bobcats claimed victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The match took place on February 7th, 2026 at the Haynes Pavilion.
Despite the Pokes taking 55 shots, they only managed to score once, thanks to the outstanding performance of Bobcats goalie, Reese Mcconnell. Mcconnell faced a barrage of 55 shots, saving 54 of them, demonstrating a remarkable level of agility and concentration.
On the other hand, the Bobcats managed to capitalize on their 35 shots, scoring four times. Among the goal scorers was #26 Nicola Roberts, who played an instrumental role in the Bobcats’ victory.
Both teams struggled with their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4. Pokes goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, faced 35 shots and saved 31, but it wasn’t enough to hold back the Bobcats’ offensive line.
The Pokes’ lone goal came from #2 Zoey Brown, who put up a valiant effort despite the team’s loss.
The Bobcats will ride this wave of victory into their next game against the University of Utah. The match is set to take place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on Friday, February 20th. The Bobcats’ fans are eagerly anticipating another thrilling performance from their team. Stay tuned for more updates.
