It was a challenging night for the Montana State University Bobcats as they faced off against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The final score of the match was Antelopes 7, Bobcats 1.
The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, firing 64 shots at the Bobcats’ net. Bobcats goalie, Emma Carlson, was kept busy throughout the match, managing to save 57 of these attempts. Despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, they were only able to muster 19 shots in return.
The Bobcats’ powerplay was not as effective as they would have liked, with the team failing to convert on their two opportunities. On the other hand, the Antelopes managed to capitalize on one of their three powerplay chances.
The star of the match was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who managed to find the back of the net thrice. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder was the lone goal scorer.
