In a hard-fought battle on the ice, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2. The game took place on February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.

The Utes dominated the game with 38 shots on goal, while the Bobcats trailed slightly with 31. Despite the Bobcats’ two attempts at powerplay, they were unable to capitalize, leaving the Utes to take the win.

In the goalie matchup, Utes’ Miranda De Antunano faced 31 shots, saving 29, while Bobcats’ Reese McConnell faced a challenging 38 shots, making 33 saves.

Standout players of the match included Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley who scored 2 goals, and Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz who put one in the net for the Bobcats.

Despite the setback, the Bobcats are looking forward to their next game. They will be playing at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21.
