In a hard-fought game, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2. The game took place on February 20th, 2026 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
The Utes dominated the game with 38 shots on goal, compared to the Bobcats’ 31. Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed resilience and determination throughout the match. Unfortunately, the Bobcats were unable to capitalize on their two powerplay opportunities, while the Utes did not have any powerplay chances.
In the net, Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano had a solid performance, facing 31 shots and making 29 saves. On the other side, Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell was kept busy with 38 shots, managing to save 33.
The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, had an outstanding game, netting two goals. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to score one goal, demonstrating her offensive skills.
