In an exciting showdown last night at Haynes Pavilion, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a score of 4-1. Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count at 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats showcased superior defensive play.

The Pokes’ powerplay was unsuccessful, with a 0/3 conversion rate. Similarly, the Bobcats also struggled to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, with a 0/4 conversion rate.

The game saw remarkable performances from both teams’ goalies. Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced 35 shots and made 31 saves. However, it was Bobcats’ Reese McConnell who stole the show with an impressive 54 saves out of 55 shots.

Both teams had standout players. Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown scored the only goal for her team. On the other side, Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts also found the back of the net, contributing to the Bobcats’ victory.
