The Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough defeat at the hands of the Grand Canyon University Antelopes last night at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The final score was a hard pill to swallow, with the Antelopes leading 7-1.

Despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, the Antelopes dominated the game with a total of 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The powerplay was not in favor of the Bobcats either, with the team not succeeding in any of their two powerplay opportunities. The Antelopes, on the other hand, managed to capitalize on one of their three powerplay chances.

Both teams’ goalies had their work cut out for them. Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, faced 19 shots and made 18 saves. Bobcats’ Emma Carlson, however, had a much busier night, facing a whopping 64 shots and making 57 saves.

The star of the night was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who scored three goals. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to put one on the board, providing the lone goal for the team.

This game was a learning experience for the Bobcats, and they’ll be looking to bounce back in their next match. Despite the loss, the team’s spirit remains undeterred. They’ll be back on the ice soon, ready to give it their all.
