The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the University of Utah Utes on February 20, 2026. The Bobcats couldn’t secure a win, ending the game with a 5-2 loss at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
The Utes were relentless, with 38 shots throughout the game, while the Bobcats managed 31 shots. Despite the determined efforts of Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell, who made 33 saves on 38 shots, the Utes managed to score five goals. On the other end, Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano was equally impressive, making 29 saves on 31 shots.
In terms of powerplay, the Utes didn’t have any opportunities while the Bobcats had two but couldn’t convert them into goals.
The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, was on fire, scoring two goals, while the Bobcats’ #22, Rylan Lorentz, managed to score one goal.
The Bobcats will be looking to bounce back in their next game on February 21 against Grand Canyon University, at their home ground, CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team will undeniably be working hard to turn things around and secure a win in the upcoming game.
