The Utes came out swinging, firing a total of 38 shots throughout the game. The Bobcats, on the other hand, managed to get off 31 shots. Despite a determined effort, the Bobcats’ powerplay was unsuccessful in both of their two attempts. The Utes, not having any powerplay opportunities, managed to maintain their lead throughout the game.
In the goaltending department, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano faced 31 shots and made an impressive 29 saves. On the other side, the Bobcats’ Reese Mcconnell was kept busy with 38 shots, managing to save 33.
The Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley was the standout player of the game, scoring two crucial goals. The Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to find the back of the net once, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win for the team.
