The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the University of Utah Utes in a challenging match at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on Sunday, February 20th, 2026. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, the Utes came out on top with a final score of 5-2.

The Utes outshot the Bobcats 38-31, and despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano stood strong, saving 29 of the 31 shots fired her way. Despite the loss, Bobcats’ goalie Reese Mcconnell put up a valiant effort, saving 33 of the 38 shots from the Utes.

Even though the Bobcats had 2 powerplay opportunities, they were unable to convert either into a goal. The Utes didn’t have any powerplay opportunities but still managed to maintain their lead.

Utes’ forward Morgan Lavalley was a standout player of the game, scoring 2 goals. On the Bobcats’ side, Elly Aldrich managed to get on the scoreboard with one goal.
