The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes, ending with a 7-1 defeat for the Bobcats. The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, with the Antelopes dominating from the start.
The Antelopes fired a staggering 64 shots on goal, while the Bobcats managed to get off only 19. Despite the difference in shots, Bobcats’ goalie Emma Carlson made an impressive 57 saves out of the 64 shots. On the other side, Antelopes’ goalie Annika Olson had a quieter night, making 18 saves out of 19 shots.
The Antelopes were also successful on the power play, converting one out of three opportunities. The Bobcats, on the other hand, were unable to capitalize on their two power play chances.
The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who netted three goals. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to put one past Olson, scoring the only goal for the team.
Despite the tough loss, the Bobcats showed resilience and determination. They will be looking to bounce back in their next game, using this experience as a learning opportunity to improve their performance.
