In a disappointing turn of events, the Montana State University Bobcats fell short against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes in last night’s game, with a final score of 7-1 in favor of the Antelopes. The game was held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
The Antelopes dominated the game from the start, with a staggering 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. They also managed to capitalize on one of their three powerplay opportunities, while the Bobcats failed to convert on either of their two chances.
In the goalie matchup, Antelopes’ Annika Olson had a stellar performance with 18 saves out of 19 shots, while the Bobcats’ Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves out of 64 shots.
The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs, who netted an impressive hat trick. The Bobcats’ only goal came courtesy of #20 Marin Snyder.
Despite the heavy defeat, the Bobcats will be looking to bounce back in their next game. Stay tuned for more updates.
