The Montana State University Bobcats suffered a narrow defeat on Saturday, falling 3-2 to the Colorado State University Rams at the Edora Pool Ice Center in Colorado. Despite the Bobcats’ 25 shots on goal, compared to the Rams’ 37, the team couldn’t secure a win.

The Bobcats’ powerplay was unsuccessful 7 times, while the Rams failed to convert on their 4 powerplay opportunities. Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, had a solid game with 34 saves from 37 shots. On the other side, Rams’ goalie Elizabeth Condon made 23 saves from 25 shots.

Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to net one goal, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in favor of the Bobcats. Rams’ #5 Megan McDougall had a standout game with 2 assists, contributing significantly to the Rams’ victory.

The Bobcats will look to bounce back in their next game, which is also against the Colorado State University Rams, on Sunday, October 5th at 3:00 pm MDT at the Edora Pool Ice Center. The team will be hoping to even the score and come away with a win.
