In a thrilling game of hockey, the Montana State University Bobcats dominated the University of Wyoming Pokes with a resounding 5-1 victory. The game took place at the Laramie Ice & Events Center on October 3rd, 2025.

The Bobcats were in control from start to finish, launching an impressive 46 shots at the Pokes’ net. The Pokes, on the other hand, managed only 21 shots. The Bobcats’ powerplay was effective with 1 successful attempt out of 9, while the Pokes failed to capitalize on their 7 powerplay opportunities.

In the goaltending department, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was nearly perfect, saving 20 out of 21 shots. The Pokes’ Alayna Smith, however, struggled against the relentless Bobcats’ offense, saving only 10 out of 46 shots.

Bobcats’ #5 Aydin Chisaakay-Soucy had a standout game with 2 assists, further strengthening the team’s offense. The Pokes’ only goal came courtesy of #7 Anabella Fausett.

The Bobcats will aim to carry this momentum into their next game against Colorado State University on October 4th, at the Edora Pool Ice Center in Colorado.
