In an exciting showdown at the Edora Pool Ice Center on October 5th, 2025, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious over the Colorado State University Rams with a score of 3-1.
Despite the Rams having a slight edge in shots over the Bobcats, 45 to 43, it was the Bobcats who managed to capitalize on their opportunities. The Bobcats’ powerplay was 0/1, while the Rams had 4 powerplay opportunities but were unable to convert any into goals.
In the goaltending department, Bobcats’ Reese Mcconnell put on a stellar performance, saving 44 of the 45 shots he faced. On the other side, Rams’ Morgan Neibauer, despite a commendable effort, was only able to save 40 out of 43 shots.
