In a spectacular display of skill and teamwork, the Montana State University Bobcats hockey team handed a crushing defeat to the University of Washington Huskies, with a final score of 12-0. The game was held at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Washington on October 25, 2025.
From the onset, the Bobcats had the upper hand, managing a staggering 41 shots against the Huskies’ 11. The Bobcats’ powerplay stood at 1/5, while the Huskies failed to capitalize on their two opportunities, ending at 0/2.
The Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, was a stone wall in front of the net, stopping all 11 shots he faced. His counterpart, Yasmine Mohamed of the Huskies, faced a barrage of 41 shots, managing to save 29.
A standout performance was delivered by Bobcats’ #4 Maeve Kelleher, who scored a hat trick. On the other hand, Huskies’ #55 Jocelynn Delamerced spent the most time in the penalty box with 4 minutes.
The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their next game, an away fixture against the University of Denver on Friday, November 14 at 11:40 am MST at the Family Sports Center.
