The Bobcats and Utes were neck and neck throughout the game, with the Utes managing to get 40 shots in, just two less than the Bobcats’ 42. Despite the Utes’ efforts, the Bobcats’ defense held strong and their goalie, Reese McConnell, made a remarkable 38 saves out of 40 shots. The Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, also put up a commendable performance, saving 39 out of 42 shots.
The Bobcats’ powerplay was more effective, with a success rate of 1/4 compared to the Utes’ 0/4. This proved to be a key factor in the Bobcats’ victory.
The game was not without its stars, with Utes’ #25 Cassandra Haley scoring a goal and Bobcats’ #9 Grace Cheney contributing with 2 assists.
