In an electrifying showdown at the Haynes Pavilion on Saturday, January 23, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the Colorado State University Rams, with a final score of 4-1.
With 33 shots, the Bobcats proved their offensive prowess by scoring four times. Aziana Schacht, number 19, made a significant contribution to the team’s victory by netting one of the four goals.
The Rams put up a strong fight, firing 39 shots at the Bobcats’ net. However, Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, delivered an exceptional performance, saving 38 of those attempts. This stellar display of goaltending played a crucial role in securing the Bobcats’ win.
Despite their efforts, the Rams could only manage to score once, with Elan Forde, number 11, being the lone scorer for the team. Rams’ goalie, Morgan Neibauer, faced a tough night, saving 29 out of the 33 shots fired by the Bobcats.
