Last night, the Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the University of Utah Utes at Haynes Pavilion. Despite a hard-fought battle, the Bobcats fell to the Utes with a final score of 4-2.
The Utes outshot the Bobcats 42-33, but both teams had strong performances from their goalies. Utes goalie Keyauna Robinson-Prefontaine had an impressive night with 31 saves from 33 shots. On the Bobcats side, Emma Carlson held her own with 38 saves from 42 shots.
The Bobcats were able to capitalize on one of their four powerplay opportunities, while the Utes were unable to convert on any of their six chances.
Utes’ #20 Ashley Paterson was a standout player of the night, netting two goals. For the Bobcats, #19 Aziana Schacht added a goal to the scoreboard.
