The Montana State University Bobcats pulled off a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Grand Canyon University Antelopes in a game that had fans on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.
Despite being outshot by the Antelopes 55 to 23, the Bobcats showed remarkable resilience and took their chances well. The Bobcats’ powerplay was impressive, converting 2 out of 4 chances, while the Antelopes could only manage 1 out of 3.
Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, was in stellar form, making 53 saves from the 55 shots he faced. On the other end, Antelopes’ Sydney Fornwald made 20 saves from 23 shots.
The star of the show was undoubtedly Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts, who scored two crucial goals. For the Antelopes, #17 Abigail Brigg was on the scoresheet with a goal.
