The Montana State University Bobcats delivered a commanding performance against the University of Wyoming Pokes on Sunday, February 6th, at Haynes Pavilion. The Bobcats outshot the Pokes 58 to 32, resulting in a final score of 9-3 in favor of the home team.

Despite both teams struggling on the powerplay, with the Bobcats going 0/3 and the Pokes 0/5, the Bobcats’ offensive pressure proved too much for the Pokes’ defense. Pokes’ goalie Alayna Smith faced a barrage of shots, making 49 saves on 58 shots. On the other end of the ice, Bobcats’ goalie Emma Carlson had a quieter night, saving 29 of 32 shots.

The Bobcats’ offensive success was highlighted by #19 Aziana Schacht, who contributed four assists in the game. On the Pokes’ side, #40 Lena Roubinek managed to find the back of the net twice, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Bobcats’ lead.

The Bobcats look to extend their winning streak as they host the Pokes again on Saturday, February 7th, at Haynes Pavilion. Be sure to catch the action and support our Bobcats in their quest for victory.
