In a thrilling home game at Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count of 55 compared to Bobcats’ 35, it was the Bobcats who managed to capitalize on their opportunities and secure the win.

Neither team managed to convert on the powerplay, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4. It was a tough night for Pokes goalie Pudgie Sabinash who, despite facing 35 shots, could only manage to save 31. On the other hand, Bobcats’ Reese McConnell put on an exceptional performance, saving 54 out of 55 shots.

The game saw Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts each scoring a goal. The Bobcats’ victory can be attributed to their solid defensive performance and effective utilization of their scoring chances.

The Bobcats look forward to carrying this winning momentum into their next game against the University of Utah. The game will be held at CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, CO, on Friday, February 20. We hope to see you there, cheering on our Bobcats to another victory!
