In a challenging game at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats faced a heavy defeat at the hands of the Grand Canyon University Antelopes. The final score stood at a daunting 7-1 in favor of the Antelopes.
The Antelopes dominated the game from the get-go, with a staggering total of 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. Their powerplay was also more successful, converting 1 out of 3 attempts, while the Bobcats couldn’t capitalize on their 2 powerplays.
Between the pipes, the Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a solid performance, stopping 18 out of 19 shots. On the other end, the Bobcats’ Emma Carlson faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves on 64 shots.
One of the standout players of the game was the Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs, who netted an impressive hat trick. For the Bobcats, #20 Marin Snyder managed to put one on the board, scoring the lone goal for the team.
