Last night, the Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious in an intense game against the University of Wyoming Pokes, with a final score of 4-1 at the Haynes Pavilion. Despite the Pokes having a higher shot count of 55 against the Bobcats’ 35, the Bobcats managed to capitalize on their opportunities, scoring four goals to the Pokes’ one.

The Pokes’ powerplay was unsuccessful, with 0 goals from 3 attempts. The Bobcats also failed to convert on their powerplay, with 0 goals from 4 attempts. However, the Bobcats’ sturdy defense and excellent goaltending from Reese McConnell, who saved 54 out of 55 shots, kept the Pokes at bay.

Pudgie Sabinash, the Pokes’ goalie, managed to save 31 out of 35 shots. But the Bobcats’ relentless offense proved too much, with Nicola Roberts (#26) contributing to the scoreline with a well-earned goal.

The Pokes’ only goal of the night came from Zoey Brown (#2), but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Bobcats’ lead.

The Bobcats’ next game will be a home match against the University of Utah on Friday, February 20, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team will be looking to carry forward this winning momentum into their upcoming games.
