In a fierce battle on the ice, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2. The game took place at CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on February 20th, 2026.

The Utes dominated the game with a total of 38 shots, compared to the Bobcats’ 31. Despite the Bobcats having two powerplays, they were unable to capitalize on these opportunities. The Utes, on the other hand, did not have any powerplays.

Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, put up a solid performance with 29 saves out of 31 shots. Bobcats’ goalie, Reese Mcconnell, fought hard with 33 saves out of 38 shots.

Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley was a standout player, scoring 2 goals in the game. Bobcats’ #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to put one in the net for the Bobcats.

Looking forward, the Bobcats will be playing at home against Grand Canyon University on February 21st at CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.
