The Montana State University Bobcats faced a challenging game last night against the Grand Canyon University Antelopes, ending with a disappointing 7-1 defeat at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.
The Antelopes clearly dominated the game with a staggering 64 shots against the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats struggled to penetrate the Antelopes’ defense, with their only goal coming from #20 Marin Snyder.
The Bobcats’ goalie, Emma Carlson, had a busy night facing 64 shots and making 57 saves. On the other end, the Antelopes’ goalie, Annika Olson, had a quieter evening with 19 shots and 18 saves.
The Antelopes also had the upper hand in powerplays, scoring 1 out of 3, while the Bobcats were unable to capitalize on their two opportunities.
The star of the game was undoubtedly the Antelopes’ #12 Jennae Szucs, who scored an impressive hat trick.
