The Montana State University Bobcats faced off against the University of Utah Utes in a challenging game yesterday, ending with a 5-2 victory for the Utes. The game took place at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.

The Utes managed to rack up 38 shots against the Bobcats’ 31. Unfortunately for the Bobcats, the Utes were able to convert more of their opportunities into goals. Despite having two powerplays, the Bobcats were unable to capitalize on these chances.

In the net for the Bobcats was Reese Mcconnell, who faced a barrage of shots from the Utes. McConnell made 33 saves from 38 shots, while the Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, saved 29 out of 31 shots.

The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, was a standout player in this game, scoring two goals. On the Bobcats’ side, #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to net one goal.

The Bobcats will need to regroup and refocus for their next game at home against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The team will be looking to bounce back from this defeat and put on a strong performance for their home crowd.
