The Montana State University Bobcats delivered a stunning performance last night, defeating the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1 at the Haynes Pavilion.

Despite the Pokes firing off a staggering 55 shots, Bobcats’ goalkeeper Reese McConnell stood his ground and made an impressive 54 saves. On the other side of the rink, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced 35 shots, managing to save 31.

Both teams struggled with powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats slightly worse at 0/4. However, the Bobcats ultimately had the edge in scoring, with #26 Nicola Roberts contributing one of the four goals that sealed the victory for the team.

The Pokes only managed to get one past McConnell, with #2 Zoey Brown scoring their lone goal. Despite their best efforts, the Pokes couldn’t break through the Bobcats’ solid defense.

Looking ahead, the Bobcats will be facing off against the University of Utah at home on Friday, February 20th at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. After this victory, the Bobcats are surely riding high and looking forward to their next game.
