The Montana State University Bobcats demonstrated their prowess on the ice once again, securing a convincing victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes with a final score of 4-1. The game took place at Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026.
Despite the Pokes firing off a staggering 55 shots, the Bobcats’ defense, led by goalie Reese McConnell, held firm. McConnell put up a spectacular performance, saving 54 out of 55 shots. On the other end, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed to save 31 out of 35 shots.
The Pokes’ only goal came from #2 Zoey Brown, while the Bobcats saw #26 Nicola Roberts putting one in the back of the net. The Bobcats’ other goals came from their relentless offense, which overcame the Pokes’ defense three more times.
Both teams struggled with their powerplays, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4. Despite this, the Bobcats’ overall performance was enough to secure the victory.
Looking ahead, the Bobcats will be hosting the University of Utah on February 20 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado. This will be a match to watch as the Bobcats continue their winning streak.
