In a fierce showdown at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats were overcome by the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2.

Despite a valiant effort, the Bobcats couldn’t quite match the Utes’ offensive strength. The Utes launched a total of 38 shots, while the Bobcats managed 31. Both teams had opportunities on the powerplay, but neither could capitalize, with the Utes at 0/0 and the Bobcats at 0/2.

In the net, the Utes’ goalie, Miranda De Antunano, held strong with 29 saves out of 31 shots. On the Bobcats’ side, Reese McConnell put up a commendable fight, saving 33 out of 38 shots.

The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, stood out with two goals, leading her team to victory. For the Bobcats, #18 Elly Aldrich managed to find the back of the net for one goal.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats remain undeterred and are looking forward to their next game. They will be facing off against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21, once again at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.
