The Montana State University Bobcats emerged victorious against the University of Wyoming Pokes in a thrilling game at the Haynes Pavilion on February 7th. The final score was Bobcats 4, Pokes 1. Despite the Pokes making more shots at 55 compared to the Bobcats’ 35, the latter managed to secure more goals.

The game was a showcase of both teams’ defensive strengths, with both sides failing to capitalize on their powerplays. The Pokes went 0/3 and the Bobcats 0/4. In the goalie battle, Pudgie Sabinash of the Pokes made 31 saves out of 35 shots, while Reese McConnell of the Bobcats made an impressive 54 saves out of 55 shots, proving instrumental in the Bobcats’ victory.

The game saw Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown and Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts each netting a goal. The rest of the Bobcats’ goals came from a collective team effort, showcasing their strong offensive capabilities.
