In a captivating display of skill, the Montana State University Bobcats secured a 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7, 2026. The game took place at the Haynes Pavilion and was a testament to the Bobcats’ resilience and prowess.

Despite the Pokes taking a staggering 55 shots, Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell proved to be a formidable wall, saving 54 of these attempts. On the other end of the ice, the Pokes’ goalie, Pudgie Sabinash, was kept busy with 35 shots from the Bobcats, of which he saved 31.

Although both teams had their fair share of powerplay opportunities, neither team could capitalize, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats going 0/4. This did not deter the Bobcats, however, who managed to score four goals, one of which was netted by #26 Nicola Roberts. The Pokes’ only goal came from #2 Zoey Brown.

The Bobcats’ victory over the Pokes is a promising sign of what’s to come. Their next game is a home match against the University of Utah on February 20 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink. The Bobcats will aim to continue their winning streak and put on another thrilling performance for their fans.
