In a thrilling display of ice hockey, the Montana State University Bobcats clinched a convincing 4-1 victory over the University of Wyoming Pokes at Haynes Pavilion on February 7, 2026.

Despite being outshot by the Pokes 55 to 35, the Bobcats demonstrated superior efficiency in front of the goal. The Pokes’ powerplay was unsuccessful in all three attempts, while the Bobcats also remained scoreless in their four powerplay opportunities.

Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash faced 35 shots and managed to save 31, while Bobcats’ Reese McConnell was the star of the evening with an impressive 54 saves from 55 shots.

Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown managed to score the only goal for her team. On the other side, Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts also found the back of the net, contributing to the Bobcats’ comprehensive victory.

The Bobcats are looking to carry this momentum into their next game against the University of Utah, which will be held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink on February 20.
