The Montana State University Bobcats came out on top in a thrilling game against the University of Wyoming Pokes on February 7th, 2026. Despite being outshot 55 to 35, the Bobcats managed to secure a 4-1 victory at the Haynes Pavilion.

Both teams struggled on the powerplay, with the Pokes going 0/3 and the Bobcats failing to convert on their four opportunities. However, the Bobcats’ stellar defensive play and exceptional goaltending were the difference-makers in this game.

Bobcats’ goalie, Reese McConnell, put on a stellar performance, stopping 54 out of 55 shots. On the other side of the ice, Pokes’ goalie Pudgie Sabinash managed to save 31 out of 35 shots.

The Bobcats’ #26 Nicola Roberts and the Pokes’ #2 Zoey Brown each scored a goal, contributing to the final scoreline.

This victory gives the Bobcats a boost of confidence as they prepare for their next game. They will be hosting the University of Utah on Friday, February 20th, at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink in Colorado.
