In a challenging face-off yesterday evening at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the Grand Canyon University Antelopes with a final score of 7-1.

The Antelopes dominated the game, taking a total of 64 shots compared to the Bobcats’ 19. The Bobcats struggled to find their footing against the Antelopes’ aggressive gameplay, failing to capitalize on their two powerplay opportunities.

Goalie Emma Carlson of the Bobcats faced a barrage of shots, making 57 saves out of the 64 attempts by the Antelopes. On the other side of the ice, Annika Olson of the Antelopes had a quieter night, facing only 19 shots and making 18 saves.

The star of the game was undoubtedly Antelopes’ #12, Jennae Szucs, who netted an impressive hat trick. The Bobcats’ lone goal came from #20, Marin Snyder, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor.

Despite the tough loss, the Bobcats showed determination and resilience, promising a strong comeback in their upcoming games. Stay tuned for more updates on the MSU Bobcats’ season.
