The Montana State University Bobcats showcased their prowess on the ice last night, trouncing the University of Wyoming Pokes in a stunning 9-3 victory at Haynes Pavilion. The game, which took place on February 6th, 2026, saw the Bobcats assert their dominance right from the start.

The Bobcats outshot the Pokes by an impressive margin, peppering the Pokes’ net with 58 shots compared to the Pokes’ 32. Despite five powerplay opportunities, the Pokes were unable to convert any into goals. The Bobcats, on the other hand, didn’t score on their three powerplay chances, but their offensive onslaught was enough to secure the win.

Pokes’ goalie Alayna Smith had a busy night, facing 58 shots and making 49 saves. On the other end of the ice, Bobcats’ Emma Carlson stopped 29 out of 32 shots, contributing significantly to the team’s victory.

Pokes’ #40 Lena Roubinek managed to put two goals past Carlson, but it was Bobcats’ #19 Aziana Schacht who stole the show with her playmaking skills, assisting on four of the Bobcats’ nine goals.

The Bobcats will look to continue their winning streak when they face the Pokes again at home on Saturday, February 7th, at 8:15 pm MST at Haynes Pavilion. With their current form, the Bobcats will undoubtedly put up a fantastic show for their home crowd.
