The Montana State University Bobcats battled hard on the ice last night, but ultimately fell to the University of Utah Utes in a 5-2 loss. The game, held at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, was a fast-paced affair with both teams showcasing their skills and determination.

The Utes came out strong, firing 38 shots on goal, while the Bobcats responded with a respectable 31. Despite the Bobcats’ efforts, the Utes managed to find the net five times, with #12 Morgan Lavalley leading the way by scoring two goals.

On the Bobcats’ side, #18 Elly Aldrich stood out with a goal, showing her prowess on the ice. The Bobcats’ powerplay was 0/2, while the Utes didn’t have any powerplay opportunities.

In terms of goaltending, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano faced 31 shots and made 29 saves. For the Bobcats, Reese McConnell was kept busy with 38 shots, making 33 saves.

Despite the loss, the Bobcats showed resilience and determination. They will be looking to bounce back in their next game, a home match against Grand Canyon University on Saturday, February 21 at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink.
