In a tough match-up at the CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats fell to the University of Utah Utes with a final score of 5-2 on February 20, 2026.
The Utes came out strong, landing a total of 38 shots on goal. The Bobcats put up a good fight, firing 31 shots in return. Despite the Bobcats’ best efforts, Utes’ goalie Miranda De Antunano was on fire, saving 29 out of 31 shots. On the other side of the rink, Bobcats’ goalie Reese McConnell performed admirably, saving 33 out of 38 shots.
In terms of powerplays, the Utes didn’t get a single opportunity, while the Bobcats had two. Unfortunately, the Bobcats couldn’t capitalize on these opportunities, ending the game with a powerplay of 0/2.
Star player of the game was Utes’ #12 Morgan Lavalley, who secured two goals for her team. For the Bobcats, #22 Rylan Lorentz managed to sneak one past the Utes’ goalie, contributing to the Bobcats’ final score of 2.
