In a thrilling hockey match held on February 20, 2026, at CU Boulder Rec Center Ice Rink, the Montana State University Bobcats faced a tough loss against the University of Utah Utes. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Utes, marking a challenging night for our Bobcats.

The Utes had a total of 38 shots, while the Bobcats managed 31 shots. Unfortunately, the Bobcats couldn’t convert their powerplay opportunities, going 0 for 2, while the Utes didn’t have any powerplay chances.

In the goalkeeping department, the Utes’ Miranda De Antunano was on her game, saving 29 out of 31 shots. On the other hand, the Bobcats’ Reese McConnell saved 33 out of 38 shots.

The Utes’ #12, Morgan Lavalley, was the standout player of the match, scoring 2 goals. The Bobcats’ #18, Elly Aldrich, managed to score 1 goal, showing great potential despite the loss.
